While talking to media persons, the CEO Donald Tsang announced that the drafting work of Hong Kong's 12th Five-Year Plan has come to a critical stage; including Hong Kong has much to contribute to the plan.

Mr. Tsang was addressing the media at the National Day reception.

He said that the people of the country will do all they can to contribute to drafting the plan and give full play to their strengths with the aim to serve the requirements of the country.

Reiterating Hong Kong's increasing economic influence in the area and the world, Mr. Tsang said that the strategy will continue to intensify with the country's growing local requirement, external trade as well as overseas investment.

Mr. Tsang said, "In this process, Hong Kong will leverage our strengths as an international financial hub to promote the regionalization and internationalization of renminbi, to enhance our competitiveness, and to accumulate experience for the financial opening-up and further economic development of the country."

Further, he said that their country is all set to increase the transformation of its economic development model as well as optimize its economic structure.
