According to recent reports, trade between Taiwan and Jiangsu Province was US$11.33 billion in the first four months of 2010, which showed an increase of around 91.9 percent as compared to the last year.

Moreover, Jiangsu, an economically-developed area in East China, accounts for around 25 percent of the total trade between Taiwan and mainland China.

In the meantime, as per the data released by the island’s Ministry of Finance, the country’s export value has increased 47.8% to US$21.93 billion in the month of April as compared to the last year.

The growth took place because of sharp increase in shipments to mainland China.

Meanwhile, it was the six successive month in a row, when country’s trade has recorded growth in its export.

Further, the study conducted by Dow Jones Newswires said that the growth rate was lower than the 50.10 percent recorded in the month of March, and below than the median 52.70 percent prediction of 11 economists.
