CSG Holding plans to invest RMB 1.3M on energy-saving glass

CSG Holding Co Ltd, which is basically involved in the making and sale of glass and the solar energy industry, has decided to invest around RMB 1.3 billion in order to increase its production of energy-saving glass in 2010.

In this regard, the company has provided a total of 70,000 square meters of energy-saving glass to number of pavilions in the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, which begun on May 1 and will end on October 31 of this year.

Moreover, data showed that switching from common glass to energy-saving glass generated by CSG Holding can decrease a building’s power consumption by around 70 percent.

While talking to reporter, the Board Chairman of the company, Zeng Nan said, “The Company targets RMB 7 billion in revenue for 2010 and that its expenditure on research and development will swell to RMB 100 million from RMB
50 million in 2009.”

In 2009, the company reaped RMB 5.28 billion in total profit and RMB 830 million in net profit.
