According to recent reports, Taiwan may have its first ever civil pilot training school by January 2011.
Meanwhile, the information was given by the leading civil aviation official.
Moreover, talking to media, the retired head of the Civil Aeronautics Administration, Billy Chang said that he aims to establish the school in eastern part of the country.
Further, he also added that there have been talks about setting-up of such a flight school in Taiwan for the past 30 years, but the idea has never been come into fruition.
He said, “Local airline companies have to send their pilots abroad to receive training. Taiwan should be able to train its own pilots.”
In addition to this, Mr. Chang stated that he recently toured almost four flight schools in the United States to get more experience for opening such a school.
